Bold move By Obama to replace Joe for Hillary

Joe Biden has not helped Obama with that great 1-2 punch that most candidates for V.P do. When Listening to Joe Biden Speeches you never know which Joe may show up at an event. Lately he has been sounding very angry. Which doesn’t sound very well when matched up to Obama. Joe Biden said in an appearance on ABC News' Good Morning America that, for the wealthy, paying more taxes is the patriotic thing to do.

Joe Biden’s tax returns show an average of $369 a year in charitable contributions, a miserly 0.3% of his income. If Biden wants to help the poor and downtrodden, then he needs to start by using his own resources before going after the pocketbooks of others.

They point to Obama’s tax plan on income tax only, without mentioning the hikes on capital-gains rates and corporate taxes that Obama plans. They never mention that 70% of the country is in the investor class now and will run afoul of the new capital-gains tax rates, or that higher corporate taxes mean higher prices — and more companies relocating outside the US. Does Obama think that businesses just eat costs? Either prices go up or jobs get cut, the same as they do when Congress arbitrarily raises labor costs by increasing the minimum wage.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, just to pay for current programs (Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, among others), the federal government would have to almost double all tax rates over the next four decades.

That means that under Obama's spending plan, low-income families who do pay taxes would pay almost 20 percent in federal taxes instead of today's 10 percent rate. The middle class, the group Obama claims to provide the most tax relief to, would have to pay closer to 50 percent as opposed to the middle-class tax rate now of 25 percent.

It doesn't take an economic genius to figure out that a middle-class tax rate of almost 50 percent is not feasible.

At some point the tax base must widen to cover the cost of these programs or spending must be cut.

So how will Obama and the Democrats pay for existing programs while adding billions in new ones?

What Obama is assuming is that a Democrat-controlled Congress will pass the Bush tax cuts in 2010, and then immediately repeal them, creating new revenue.

Doesn't make sense?

Well, it shouldn't.

As Washington is figuring out new ways to hold mortgage brokers and hedge funds accountable, Democrats should look at themselves as they promote these illogical, harebrained financing schemes through their anointed presidential candidate, Barack Obama.

"Biden certainly put his foot in his mouth"
Joe Biden said that Hillary Clinton “might have been a better pick than me” to be Barack Obama’s running mate.
The Delaware senator was responding to an audience member at a town hall meeting in Nashua, N.H., Make no mistake about this, Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Lets get that straight,”.
“She’s easily qualified to be vice president … and quite frankly, might have been a better pick than me. But she’s first rate. I mean that sincerely. She is first rate. So let’s get that straight,” he said.
To be sure, a Biden-Clinton switch would cause quite a stir in the media. Obama's current voters would stick with him as well. So, where's the downside? Show me a Democrat, today, who'd dump Obama for McCain if Biden was replaced with Clinton? They don't exist.
It's a pretty safe bet that an Obama/Clinton ticket would capture virtually all of these loyal Clintonistas. It's also a safe bet that many of those highly coveted 18-49-year-old women who polls show migrated to McPalin this past week.
Obama should do what the Republicans would do in this situation. In fact, he should do exactly what his opponent did. Shake things up. Be unconventional. Roll the dice. Who cares how it looks. Who cares what the media thinks. One thing's certain: there's an 18-million cracks in the ceiling waiting to line up with candidate. An Obama/Clinton ticket would slam the door shut on this election. Biden in a loose cannon his 81,490 total votes in the presidential primaries was a drop in the bucket compaired to Hillary Clinton, so ask yourself why didn’t Joe Biden do better with Voters? "Lets try no connection whatsoever"

Need I say More
